Music and Mathematics — CaixaForum Valencia
Immersive exhibition exploring the hidden mathematical patterns in music — from rhythm and harmony to acoustics.
"Música y Matemáticas" (Music and Mathematics) is an immersive exhibition at CaixaForum València inviting visitors to discover the deep mathematical patterns hidden within music. Through interactive installations, visitors explore concepts of rhythm, harmony, acoustics, and the geometry of sound.
The exhibition bridges two seemingly different worlds, showing how mathematics underlies everything from the tuning of instruments to the structure of symphonies. Hands-on exhibits allow visitors to experiment with frequencies, visualize sound waves, and understand why certain combinations of notes sound harmonious.
CaixaForum València, located within the City of Arts and Sciences complex, offers free entry for CaixaBank clients and children under 16.
Getting There
CaixaForum València is located in the Àgora building within the City of Arts and Sciences. Take metro line 3, 5, or 9 to Alameda station and walk south, or bus lines 35 and 95 to the complex entrance.
