Las Fallas de Valencia 2026
Valencia's world-famous festival of giant sculptures, fireworks, and the spectacular Cremà finale.
Las Fallas is one of Spain's most spectacular and internationally renowned festivals. Each year, hundreds of elaborate artistic sculptures called fallas — many towering several stories high — are erected throughout the city, only to be set ablaze on the final night in a dramatic ritual known as the Cremà.
The festival officially runs from March 15 to 19, though the celebrations begin on March 1 with daily mascletàs — powerful daytime firework displays — at 2 PM in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The streets fill with parades, traditional music, and the aroma of freshly fried buñuelos.
Key events include the Plantà (installation of sculptures) on March 15, the Ofrenda (a moving floral offering to the Virgin Mary) on March 17–18, and the unforgettable Cremà on the night of March 19, when all fallas are set on fire simultaneously across the city.
Getting There
The main events take place in the historic center, accessible via metro lines 3, 5, 7, and 9 (Xàtiva or Colón stations). The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is the epicenter for mascletàs.
